In the more obvious sense, it's a plea to the little girl who appeared in the Blind Mellon video No Rain, who seemed to be under the impression that she was a celebrity after her stint as "the bee girl" and went on numerous talk shows acted as though she'd opened up a new career for herself.
on the other hand, it's a plea to Blind Mellon lead singer Shannon Hoon, who had taken to the his rock star status a little too well and went a little wild with partying and drugs.
